Through the art of film, she endeavours to capture moments of beauty, while turning the lens on critical issues to bring empowering cinematic stories to the screen.
Born in Ontario with a natural wanderlust, Emily embarked on a solo road trip adventure to the west coast, where she currently lives as a guest on the unceded, traditional territory of the Cowichan First Nation. Inspired by a love of cinema, Emily studied Film Production at York University in Toronto, specializing in cinematography and editing. Shortly after her move to Vancouver Island, she began filmmaking fulltime and established Wildflower Productions. When not looking through a lens, Emily finds herself exploring in nature, painting colourful dot patterns, watching true crime documentaries, and enjoying quality time with her cats. |
